STUDIO POLICY
As a part of our effort to create a consistent and comfortable atmosphere in which our students can learn and grow, we have devised policies that encourage good attendance and respect for teachers and students.
Class Scheduling
Students should arrive and be ready for class a few minutes prior to their scheduled class time. Each class will be dismissed a few minutes prior to the end of each class hour to facilitate a smooth transition between classes. Under no circumstances should a child arrive or be left waiting more than 10 minutes before or after his or her class. Students arriving to class after their warm-up period may be required to observe that day for their own safety.
Attendance
Attendance on a regular basis is necessary in order for the student to receive the maximum benefit of dance classes. No tuition adjustments will be made due to absences, extended or otherwise. Make-up lessons are only available when class cancellations are made by the studio director, due to weather closings or holidays.
Make-up Scheduling
Make-up classes are only available for weather closings (see Weather Closings Policy). Make-up classes are not available for planned events such as family vacations or school program performances.
Weather Closings
We will automatically follow Lee County Public School’s closings and delays regarding dangerous weather conditions. When there is a studio closing due to weather, we will send out an email to the primary account e-mail listed in our parent portal; we will also post to our Facebook and Instagram page. Make-up lessons will be available for such cancellations. Parents- please make sure your information is up to date in order to get the latest notices from us.
Classroom Behavior
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. If the dancer’s actions become distracting for other dancers to learn, then they will be excused from the class. If they are excused from three classes, then the dancer will no longer be eligible to attend the class.
For the safety of our students, no gum is allowed in any of our classes. No eating is allowed during classes as well. If you eat before class, please do so in the lobby and discard any trash.
Withdrawing From Classes
Appropriate actions are necessary to withdraw from class(es). Please refer to the Parent Portal for withdrawal details. Registration fees are always non-refundable. Please note your account will continue to be billed until the withdrawal is official on the portal.
DRESS CODE
Adherence to a dress code is an important part of a student's dance education. Along with proper classroom etiquette, following the dress code shows respect for the art of dance, the teachers, and the students themselves.
All dancers should have a bag to carry their shoes. Shoes and bag should be clearly labeled with students first and last name. All dancers are required to have the proper dance shoes for each class they are attending.
All dancers are expected to arrive to the 1st day of class in proper attire.
Hair
Hair must be fully secured back and away from the dancer’s face and off the neck at all times in all classes.
For ballet, hair must be pulled back into a neat, secure ballet bun on the crown of their head.
